Ellipsis

We knew the word ELLIPSIS from the James Bond film (if you know, you know) but we didn't know until just this week that it actually refers to the missing words that are understood but left unwritten, commonly represented by (...). Yup, those three dots are the ellipsis. Didn't intend this piece to initiate an English language tutorial, but hey-ho, that's the way the universe flows.

This piece has a super smooth surface, the obligatory spalting pattern caused by the fungi walls (see the other two spalted pieces for more details on that), and a lovely rich tone. It's also pretty small, measuring a mere 90cm from top to bottom (or side to side, depending on how it's hung) and would look perfectly placed in any contemporary setting.
